Helping Wildlife - Enhancing Habitat - Defending Hunting
Our membership believes in and is dedicated to our goals of Hunters Rights, Huntable Wildlife and Habitat.

The Oregon Hunters Association (OHA) got its start in 1983 when a small group of elk hunters in North Central Oregon got discouraged with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife over the department's elk management program. Together, the hunters formed a loose organization to protest the department's procedures. Having some success with this approach, and with other hunters seeing the need for an organization such as this; the club quickly got off the ground. Seeing the overwhelming interest, the decision was made to form a nonprofit organization that would champion wildlife, habitat and hunters rights. All of our funds stay in Oregon to benefit our state's wildlife and sportsmen. OHA is helping wildlife and enhancing habitat wherever you live and hunt.

The Clatsop County Chapter membership is 170 strong.
