Minutes:

 

Take Bill Girard off of website.

 

Banquet discussion.

Short on volunteers.

Volunteers need to arrive about 9am on 9/15.

Everyone can ask for gift certificates from local businesses (restaurants, motels, etc.)

Local guide hunts can be traded for eastern Oregon guide hunts.

 

Banquet board meeting:  Next week, Tuesday 22nd, 7pm at Golden Luck. 

Will also discuss Fathers Day weekend booth at roadster show at Seaside convention center.

 

172 newsletters sent out.  Includes about 22 to other chapters.

 

ODFW report:

Troy Laws introduced as A&H North Willamette council coordinator.

Sea lions, Stellar (targeting sturgeon) & Californian (targeting salmon).

Stellar not so much a problem.  Bigger, blonde.

Californian are persistent.  Sleeker, brown.

 

Jewell Wildlife Refuge planning process approved.

 

Tetracycline bear baiting project: 

Prepping:  May 30.  At Clackamas ODFW.

Placing:  June 1, then June 4,5,6.  Contact a biologist to ride along.

Pick up 2.5 weeks later (or so).  Contact a biologist to ride along.

Kate drew herself for the prize (binocular harness).

Can I get and post our newsletter?

Yes.  Email Kate again.

 

What is the most important thing to get in front of new or returning visitors?  That should be on the first page.  Can I change front page to be "latest news" and move the "about us" stuff to an appropriate section elsewhere?

No problem.

 

Can I change the header style?  Longer buttons would be nice (3 words).

No problem.
