Legislative report.

2425 passed and signed by governor.

Commission mtg in June.  Pleased with and approved all 15 projects sent to them.

Initial search done for coordinator position.

Greg Jackle was offered position but he declined.

14 apps received.

8 to be interviewed (August 1/2).

all but 4 from out of state.

Ward and Tik vacancies.

Deadline for apps in October.  Decision in December.

Budget report.

$1.1 mill remaining.

$445k of projects to be reviewed today.

Board is pleased that they are nearing the point where they will need to rank and prioritize projects -- not just dole out money.

Topic:  Board Members reports

Tally:  Time to look at A&H program renewal.  At next meeting time will be set aside to discuss changes into the future.

Next meeting on Oct 15-16 in Burns

Tik suggests inviting reps from hunting orgs.

Tik:  Can we approach legislature to postpone sunset to avoid coincidence of it expiring with the terms of board members.

Ron England:  Legislature has full agenda.  Up in the air on what they would e willing to entertain.  Will talk to Roy Elicker (sp?) -- he's tied in to legislature.
